Mayo GAA Connacht Championship Fixtures 2019

Provincial Championships shall be played on a Knock-Out Format. A ‘Round Robin’ Format may not be used. The winners of the Provincial Championships shall qualify for the All-Ireland Championship Quarter-Final Group Stage.

All Ireland Championship 2019

Qualifier Series Times & venues TBC. In the All-Ireland Football Qualifiers, there will be a winner on the day.

Preliminary Rd (if required) Saturday 1st / Sunday 2nd June. (A Preliminary Game(s) if required and which may be on an arranged basis, shall be played to reduce the number of teams to sixteen).

Qualifier Rd 1 : Saturday 8th June.

Qualifier Rd 2 : Down v Mayo, Saturday 22nd June. (7pm, Pairc Elser, Newry). Att:

Quarter-Final Group Stage
The All Ireland Quarter-Final Group Stage shall be on a League basis of two Groups of four
teams, with each team in a Group playing the other teams once.

Team 1: Munster Provincial Winner
Team 2: Ulster Provincial Winner
Team 3: Connacht Runner-Up or team that defeats them in Round 4
Team 4: Leinster Runner-Up or team that defeats them in Round 4

Team 1: Leinster Provincial Winner
Team 2: Connacht Provincial Winner
Team 3: Munster Runner-Up or team that defeats them in Round 4
Team 4: Ulster Runner-Up or team that defeats them in Round 4

Group 1 & 2 Fixtures

Quarter-Final Venues
• Central Council granted deviation from Rule 6.28 for the 2019 Championship to allow for Phase 1 games to be home venues for the provincial champions, with Phase 2 games being in Croke Park.
• Phase 1 & 3, first team listed will have Home Venue & Phase 2 games will be played in Páirc an Chrócaigh.
• Home Venues shall be subject to approval by the Central Competitions Control. Committee and shall meet the criteria set down by the National Facilities/Health and Safety Committee.
